Noonwraith (Klekánice) is a traditional Slavic mythical creature, a specter that roams at dusk (during evening church bells – the kneeling prayer time), which according to legend kidnaps disobedient, wandering children. It is often described as an ugly old woman with disheveled hair and crooked eyes.

Project Info:
I think it's an interesting story that I told my own children. They were terrified of this figure. My own parents frightened me with the Noonwraith. The memory of this childhood fear prompted me to create a figure of the Noonwraith shrouded in rags. The Noonwraith will have dominant, prominent and perhaps even "branch-like" hands.
