Charity Auction Success

On November 20, 2024, a charity auction of artworks took place at the Museum and Pojizerská Gallery in Semily, organized by Domácí hospic 14 pomocníků, Kuršel Family Foundation, and the Museum and Pojizerská Gallery in Semily. All proceeds benefit care for terminally ill patients in their homes.

Sebastian Wojnar's sculpture "Boy from the Hospital" was successfully auctioned, joining works by other artists connected to FABRIKA 1861, including Swedish artist Erik Johansson and painter Patrik Rutkovský. The auction was led by Sebastian Kuršel, cultural director of FABRIKA 1861, who stated: "It is an honor to take on the role of auctioneer. The auction is not just a cultural event, but above all help for those who need it most."

The event was preceded by an exhibition of all auctioned works, which was on view at the museum from November 7, 2024. The evening brought together art and solidarity, transforming the beauty of art into the power to help.
